TQ1684 : Sudbury Town Underground Station

taken 14 years ago, near to Wembley, Brent, England

Sudbury Town Underground Station
Sudbury Town Underground Station
Sudbury is delightfully blessed with 4 railway stations bearing its name. There are Sudbury Hill Harrow and Sudbury & Harrow Road on the Chiltern Railways operated former Great Central Railway, and Sudbury Hill and this one, Sudbury Town, on the Piccadilly Line. Sudbury Hill Harrow was formerly South Harrow which is, and always has been, the name of the next station after Sudbury Hill.

Confused?

Suffice to say that this station was opened in 1903 by the Metropolitan District Railway and this image was taken from the Allendale Road bridge.
