Royal Oak : A68
Royal Oak : A68
A small hamlet at the junction of the A68 and Dere Street Roman road. The derelict building was once 'The King's Head' pub. The 'Royal Oak' itself, dating from the reign of Charles II and now a private house, is 300 yds to the south-east.
