Geograph - photograph every grid square

All cities must have a Charlotte Square, usually named after Queen Charlotte, wife of George III. Newcastle's was designed by William Newton in 1770 in the London style, as terraced town houses around a central, private garden square. Most of the property here is now in commercial use. Some of the houses in the Square retain period features, notably the tripartite windows (Venetian) and original roofline. The building at the top right corner was rebuilt in 1984 to fill a gap (the original had been destroyed by fire).
