Since the opening the 'new' Lifeboat Station in St Annes-on-Sea, which (now) houses the full sized 'all weather' Mersey Class Lifeboat ... the lifeboat station at Lytham is 'home' to (just) an inshore lifeboat. However this inshore lifeboat has a full part to play in the safety of sailors and shipping in the Ribble estuary.
