Bruce's Well
The well NS3424 : Bruce's Well, Prestwick, has a long history and is associated with Robert the Bruce. It was attached to a monastic community - The Spittal and Lazar House. Bruce was afflicted by a skin complaint, possibly leprosy and the waters of the well were supposed to have curative properties.
