'Newcastle Through The Ages', Northumberland Road
Wall relief by Henry and Joyce Collinson 1974 on the north side of the modern store built for British Home Stores on Northumberland Street. It is made from ciment-fondu mosaic, paint and stone. It shows the themes of Monkchester, Oceanus, Pons Aelius and Geordie and various local engineers, architects, tradesmen, shipwrights, artists and social reformers.
