City House, City Road
City House was built as offices in the Victorian period and dominates its location on the corner of City Road and Melbourne Street, main roads east from the city centre.

To its left, on the corner of Melbourne Street and Trafalgar Street is the former Manors Tram headquarters. It housed offices an engineering workshop and an electricity generating station that supplied the system's power. It is now owned by the Christian group, City Church, used as a meeting place since October 1997, and renamed, The CastleGate LinkExternal link
