Entrance to Tyneside Cinema, Pilgrim Street
The cinema is hidden down High Friar Lane on the left hand side but its original entrance on Pilgrim Street has now been restored.

It was built as a newsreel cinema in 1937, designed by Dixon Scott (great uncle of Holywood director, Ridley Scott) and supposedly the last working newsreel cinema in Britain
