The Milestone weather forecasting stone

The stone is near the entrance to the Milestone Garden Centre in Newtown St Boswells NT5831 : Milestone Garden Centre at Newtown St Boswells. While good at assisting with the current weather conditions it might be tricky to predict what would happen in the following days, but there again the MET Office sometimes gets the forecast wrong. The range of weather situations includes, raining (stone is wet), sunny (shadow on ground) and snowing (white on top). I like this garden centre feature as it appeals to my sense of humour.
