A class 156 diesel unit on a southbound service from Carlisle to Leeds crosses Dandrymire Viaduct at the head of Garsdale.

It was a beautiful spring day (not typical of the weather to be experienced in this area).
Settle to Carlisle railway line

The Settle to Carlisle Line is a 73 mile long main railway line in northern England. It was constructed in the 1870s. It is generally recognised as one of the most attractive railway lines in the country as it crosses the Yorkshire Dales.
