The building NT9437 : Lady Waterford Hall, Ford, Northumberland. was the village school of Ford until 1957. Louisa, Marchioness of Waterford (1818-1891) was widowed at the age of 40 and came to live at Ford Castle in 1859. She painted the murals to illustrate scenes from the Bible based on characters from the village and local school children.
