Bridge over the River Tyne, Corbridge
The bridge was completed in 1674, replacing the ford and ferry which succeeded a previous medieval bridge of 1235. It is 146 metres long, with seven arches and was the only bridge on the River Tyne to escape the great flood of 1771. Originally built for pack-horse and coach traffic, it and was partially rebuilt and widened in 1881 Link
