Oak Hill Park
Looking across the football pitches to the east of Pymme's Brook towards Oak Hill College, the white building on the left. These pitches, and especially the area beside the footpath, were clearly very waterlogged. A mixture of gulls and Carrion Crows (Corvus corone corone) take advantage of the lack of footballers to rest and feed. The temporary lake in the foreground has a flock of Black Headed Gulls (Larus ridibundus) on the right of the photo and a pair of Great Black-Backed Gulls (Larus marinus) closer to the centre. The difference in size between these gull species is very obvious.
