Marsh below Pin Well
This marsh is formed by the drainage from the Pin Well which today, after a day's rain and melting snow, was running freely with water. Drainage continues underground at this point into stony ground, to emerge again below the quarry.
The well is at the top end of the marsh, just left of the small tree. The knoll on the left has a natural rock feature known as 'King's Chair'. Above it, to the left, on the hill top, is the Kettles hill-fort.
