In the foreground, to the south west of the Church, is a mausoleum built for the Davison family in the late 18th century. Alexander Davison was Chandler and friend to Horatio Nelson – his monument can be seen on Lanton Hill across the valley NT9131 : Looking across the Glen to Lanton Hill. The churchyard also has a grave for Josephine Butler (social reformer; 1828-1906) Link The centenary of her death in 2006 was marked with a new stained glass window and metal bindweed sculpture in the church porch.
