Fothergill Fountain in South Park, Darlington
Fothergill Fountain in South Park, Darlington
Near the entrance to the park from Geneva Road. Brought into South Park from Bondgate in 1926, the drinking fountain has been moved several times since, before coming to rest here in 2005. It had been named for a Dr Fothergill (a Past-President of the borough's Temperance Society) at an opening ceremony in June 1862.
