Corby Castle & River Eden
Corby Castle & River Eden
Corby Castle sits above the tranquil River Eden, east of Carlisle. Originally a stone 14th century tower house belonging to the Salkeld family, it was absorbed, in the 19th century, into the construction of a splendid manor house. It is reputedly haunted by the "Shining Boy of Corby".
