Peacock, Belfast Zoo
One of the many peacocks that roam around Belfast Zoo. To be more precise it is a male Common peafowl, also known as an Indian peafowl.
Belfast Zoo
Belfast Zoo was established by the Belfast Corporation on 12 acres of land at the site of the Bellevue pleasure gardens on the Antrim Road and officially opened on the 28th march 1934. Today the zoo has been enlarged to 55 acres and is home to more than 1,200 animals and 140 species.
