Travelling in a later train
Travelling in a later train
A sculpture by Michael Disley as part of the Loops and Links project in Caerphilly County Borough.
The wording comes from a poem by the Rev. William Thomas (bardic name Islwyn) who was born in Ynysddu in 1832.
Loops and Links
Loops and Links within Caerphilly County Borough is a strategy to improve access from the National Cycle Route 47 to the towns and villages along its route.
Clear directional signs giving distances, cycling and walking times and indicating the facilities in the local villages have been provided.
Community artwork, involving schools and local residents with artist Michael Disley, has been a major part of the strategy. In addition, the artist created six sculptures featuring local historical references which were selected from eighteen designs presented to the local residents.
