The Temperate House
The Temperate House
Seen from the Xstrata Treetop Walkway. The walkway - designed by Marks Barfield Architects, who also designed the London Eye - opened to the public on International Biodiversity Day in 2008. It stands 18M high and provides stunning views of the surrounding area. It also sways like a tree, so take your seasickness pills!

The Temperate House was designed by Decimus Burton and opened in 1863, although it was not finally completed until 40 years later due to soaring construction costs!
