This part of the path follows on directly from the section shown in NS4375 : Path near Greenland Farm.
The two sheep shown here had also found their way into the narrow corridor between the fences (on which, see the end-note). They had apparently done so from the field on the right, by means of a hole in the fence; I kept some distance away from them, so as not to alarm them, and they soon managed to find their own way back through the hole and into the field.
A later picture reveals little difference, other than the season, and the height of the fence to the left: NS4375 : Path near Greenland Farm.
At the end of this section, the path turns left: NS4375 : Path near Greenland Farm.

Path near Greenland Farm
The area near Greenland Farm had been the subject of protracted negotiations to secure public land access, as specified by the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003. The situation was resolved by the creation of a path, bounded by two fences, for the use of pedestrians and cyclists; it now forms part of the Crags Circular Path, a much longer route.
