M40 motorway near Tetsworth
Taken from a bridge carrying a farm track. The M40 here has come down the Chilterns scarp and is running over the Oxford plain. Junction 7 for the A329 is two miles further on, at the horizon of the photo. It is a three lane motorway; a lorry is just stopping on the hard shoulder on the right of the photo, it was there for some time as a tyre had shredded.
