The Milton Burn flows almost parallel to the path, off to the right; it can be seen in another view back along this section of the path: NS4375 : Burn beside footpath.

Directly ahead, along the line of the path, Dumbuck Hill (NS4274 : Dumbuck Quarry) can be seen in the distance, with the double-peaked Dumbowie Hill (see NS4275 : Dumbuie Dun) to its right. Between them, Dumbarton Rock is partially visible on the near shore of the River Clyde.
