Old sheepfold
Old sheepfold
An internal wall divides the sheepfold into eastern and western halves; the western half is, in turn, subdivided into three areas: see NS4474 : Old sheepfold (detail) for further details, and for a closer look at the western side of the sheepfold.

For a view of the remains from the other side, see NS4474 : Forest clearing, with old sheepfold.
Old sheepfold
This sheepfold, which is shown on the first-edition OS map (surveyed in 1860), remains largely intact, and measures 21 metres (north-south) by 18 metres. It is subdivided by internal walls.
