Tranwell Airfield
Tranwell Airfield (RAF Morpeth) was a World War II airfield used for air gunnery training; many Polish airmen were trained here. Although the area has reverted to agriculture, a number of the original structures on the site can still be seen. The area is put to various other uses, including point-to-point racing and car boot sales.
