Betchworth Station
Betchworth Station
Opened in 1849, on the Reigate to Guildford railway, originally operated by the South Eastern Railway. It is now operated by First Great Western, with a two hourly service off peak.

Compare TQ2151 : Betchworth Station for a 1961 photo from the same spot. The main station building on the right, the fencing and the old gas lamp standards remain, but the level crossing now has lifting barriers rather than gates, the crossover has been removed and the former sidings (behind the fence on the left) serving the extensive industrial rail network in Betchworth Quarry have been removed.
