Geograph - photograph every grid square

This photograph (taken only a few metres north of the grid line) is a view from the top of a small hill that is located within the quarry; the hill can be seen, right of centre, in NS3678 : Carman Quarry. As the rich colour of the exposed soil might suggest, red sandstone was quarried here.

In the middle distance, behind a path, a low ridge covered in bushes is visible; just behind that ridge, and hidden from view, is a track that leads up towards Carman Hill: NS3679 : Access to Asker Farm and covered reservoir.

Further away, placed centrally in this view, between two pylons, part of High Milndovan Farm (NS3579 : Cardross, High Milndovan Farm) can be seen behind the bushes; the Firth of Clyde provides the backdrop.
