Lock 5 and bridge 5, Northampton Arm, 1973
In 1973 at least, the bridges on this branch of the Grand Union Canal started at number 2, but the locks at number 1! The railway beyond the next lock is now abandoned and here replaced by a new alignment of the A43. It appears to have electrification masts but no wires - was it ever electrified on this section? It was the Blisworth - Peterborough (via Northampton) line.
