FREEDOM OF THE BOROUGH OF HYNDBURN
29TH JUNE 2002 TO
THE QUEEN'S LANCASHIRE REGIMENT

THIS MONUMENT IS DEDICATED TO
THE EAST LANCASHIRE REGIMENT IN
MEMORY OF ALL RANKS WHO SERVED AND DIED
IN ALL WARS, PARTICULARLY THOSE OF THE
11TH (SERVICE) BATTALION (ACCRINGTON)
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS
"THE ACCRINGTON PALS"

THE EAST LANCASHIRE REGIMENT, TOGETHER
WITH THE SOUTH LANCASHIRE REGIMENT
AND THE LOYAL REGIMENT
(NORTH LANCASHIRE), IS THE FOREBEAR OF
THE QUEEN'S LANCASHIRE REGIMENT.
