TR1382 : Shivering Sands, Silhouetted

taken 18 years ago, 15 km NNW of Herne Bay, Kent, England

Shivering Sands, Silhouetted
Shivering Sands, Silhouetted
Four towers of Shivering Sands off-shore army fort can be seen standing majestically out of the Thames estuary. Almost to the centre of the image, appearing as a dotted line on the horizon, is the profile of Red Sands fort TR0779 – almost identical in construction to Shivering Sands, but from here appearing as distant as the two forts appear from land - dots on the horizon.
