NS3581 : Forest track on Darleith Muir
taken 15 years ago, 3 km from Arden, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Forest track on Darleith Muir
This was, until its surroundings were cleared in the last couple of years, an attractive walk through the woods.
As the photograph shows, there are many white bags arranged in piles alongside the track. Most of the bags are unlabelled, but one had "Hornbeam" written on the side, one "Birch", and another "S. Birch". Unfortunately, this seems only to indicate reuse, rather than any plans for a more diverse plantation, since all of the bags appear to contain conifer saplings.
The clearing on the wooded hill, left of centre in the background, is NS3482 : The summit of Gouk Hill; the more distant hills from centre to right are around Glen Finlas, while part of Ben Lomond appears at the right-hand edge of the photo.
