St. Mary's church was built during the 13th and 14th centuries and is constructed mainly of flint with limestone with a tiled roof. West tower, nave, chancel and south porch. The South Elmham group of churches were part of the South Elmham Minster, the remains of which are at South Elmham Hall and are open to the public.
