The foot and cycle path (looking towards Newtownards) which runs parallel to the bypass (behind the landscaping on the left). This view J4669 : Road landscaping, Comber (2), two years later, shows how the landscaping has grown.
The Comber bypass

Phase 1 of the Comber bypass opened in the 60ís. Phase 2 opened in 2003. Both are built on the line of the old Belfast-Donaghadee railway. It connects the Belfast road to the roads to Killyleagh/Downpatrick and Newtownards.
