Gates to Compton Wynyates
Gates to Compton Wynyates
The gates, with the house itself just visible in the distance. Compton Wynyates is the seat of the Marquess of Northampton and is reputed to be one of the most beautiful Tudor houses in England.

The main part of the house was built by Sir William Compton during the reign of Henry VIII although some additions were made during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.

The house and grounds are NOT open to the public.
