Turning The Corner at Hedderwick, East Lothian
Turning The Corner at Hedderwick, East Lothian
In the early years of World War 2 (and perhaps even earlier) the low-lying coastline of East Lothian was strengthened in order to obstruct and slow down any potential invasion by German forces. This view shows the eastern end of the line of concrete anti-tank blocks that runs for about a third of a mile along the southern edge of the inner Tyne estuary.
