Newcastle Central Station
Newcastle Central Station
Looking east, two of the unloved Northern Rail 'Pacer' units are seen. The London rail traveller does not have to experience these units, which doubtless will have to work out time in the north until their book value has descended to nothing, after which they will be sold on to Bulgaria or some such place. If you really want to prove you are a fully-paid-up masochist, try a journey in one of these from Newcastle to Middlesbrough via Sunderland.
