View southward, towards Brayton; former Caledonian Railway Solway Junction line, Kirtlebridge - Brayton over Solway Viaduct (located behind camera). This station and the line to Brayton were closed 1/9/21 - so it's not surprising there is a flourishing garden and farmland in 1961. (Traces of the Scottish part of this abortive 'international' railway apparently lasted until 1951).
