West shoreline of Loch Morar at Rubha Ban, near Arisaig. Loch Morar is 12 miles long and over a mile wide in places and the outflow is carried by the River Morar, one of the shortest in the country, to the Morar Estuary. Loch Morar is the deepest loch in Europe, reaching a depth of over 1000 feet.
