Leitrim Famine Graveyard

Walled graveyard behind the Old County Workhouse at Carrick-on-Shannon. During the time of the famine hundreds, or maybe thousands, of people, many of them children, died at the workhouse. They were buried in unmarked graves and no record was kept as to who was buried.
