The bed of Loch Quoich
The bed of Loch Quoich
A Mars Rover vehicle would not look out of place in this odd landscape of rock and mud on the drawn-down loch.
Quoich Hydro

The two dams at the W end of Loch Quoich are necessary to contain the loch with the level raised by the main dam at the E end, 14 km away. Water flows from a tunnel near the main dam eastwards to the Quoich power station, 18 MW capacity, further down the glen. The water then enters Loch Garry, to give up further power on its route out via the Invergarry power station (20 MW).
