A driftwood log lies half buried in the sands. St Oswald's Way LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) is a 156 Km long trail which runs from Heavenfield near Hexham to Holy Island on the Northumberland coast (although more commonly walked in the opposite direction). Between Warkworth and the Holy Island Causeway, the Way is coincident with the Northumberland Coast Path and is a component part of the international North Sea Trail. At this point these long distance paths traverse Seaton Beach. The path then leads up the steps in the middle distance and over Seaton Point.
