A Eurostar heads into the CTRL North Downs Tunnel
A Eurostar heads into the CTRL North Downs Tunnel
Taken from the bridge where the North Downs Way crosses the CTRL, the photograph shows the setting of the North Downs Tunnel. Passing for two miles under Blue Bell Hill, the chalk which had to be tunnelled through is very evident. It is possible to walk the whole way round the outside of the fence seen in the foreground, including above the tunnel.
