TL3702 : River Lee valley: Seventy Acres Lake

taken 19 years ago, near to Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England

River Lee valley: Seventy Acres Lake
River Lee valley: Seventy Acres Lake
These water-filled former gravel pit workings are now managed by the Lee Valley Park, and the numerous islands in the lake provide a haven for many types of birds. The electricity transmission lines and pylons are however an ever-present sight throughout the length of the park. Viewed from the high footbridge taking the footpath west from Fishers Green towards Cheshunt.
