Nelmires, Mytholmroyd
Perhaps one of the marginal farms that were built during a period of agricultural prosperity in the 19C. It is shown and named on the 1854 six-inch map. Now it looks to be a shelter for sheep and maybe the tractor, which is being used to cut the rushes. There are pleasant areas of green grass between the patches of rushes, cropped close and also manured by the sheep. The sycamore trees are a feature of upland farms; the altitude is 355m.
