NT2169 : Inside Colinton Tunnel

Inside Colinton Tunnel
Inside Colinton Tunnel
This used to be a railway tunnel on the Balerno branch line. Now it serves the Water of Leith Walkway.

The tunnel is lit by yellow sodium lights, making it hard to show the colours accurately in a photograph. This picture is a compromise between the harsh yellow seen by the eye on entering the tunnel, and a fully colour corrected interpretation that would show the graffiti on the right as pure white.
