Pebble mosaic
Pebble mosaic
Modern mosaic made of local beach pebbles, on the eastern side of Watchet Library. It depicts the arrival of St. Decuman, the founding saint of the local church, on a raft from South Wales - complete with his own cow. LinkExternal link

"Decuman is said to have been born of noble parents at Rhoscrowther in Pembrokeshire,...... Wishing to escape from worldly companions he crossed the Bristol Channel and landed at Dunster: he then became a hermit at nearby Watchet, living from the produce of his cow."
