Freight Through March
Freight Through March
A brace of Class 25's bring an eastbound Redland stone train through the station on a Saturday afternoon. The train is probably a Mountsorrel to Kennett service. Rail enthusiasts refer to class 25's as Rats - this train of roadstone would have been quite a heavy load for them.

The signalbox, visible behind the train, is located at the junction with the Whitemoor Yard branch - it has been demolished. Note the midland railway style platform awnings.
