Raised footprints
Raised footprints
A well known indicator of windslab and potential avalanche danger. The footprints are raised due to strengthening of the snow through compaction. The unconsolidated snow is blown away (to form the afore mentioned windslab) leaving the once sunken footprints standing proud of the surface.
