NM7409 : Resting in Peace

taken 14 years ago, near to Toberonochy, Luing, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Resting in Peace
Resting in Peace
A corner of Kilchatton Kirk. The rough carvings of galleys in the walls are, it is suggested, the representation of Alexander II's invasion fleet of 1249 by the awe-struck locals. In the nicest possible way, nothing so exciting has happened in the intervening seven and a half centuries!
