The remains of the central pillar inside the Martello Tower, which supported the roof. Inside the pillar arched at the top, and created a dome shape inside.

One of 74 Martello Towers built along the South Coast. The roof and south side have collapsed and some brick remains are scattered on the beach.

Being on the beach next to the Hythe Ranges, it is only accessible during non firing times.
